Kernewek Lowender Cornish Festival
Held in odd-numbered years across the Copper Coast towns of Moonta, Wallaroo and Kadina, the Kernewek Lowender is billed as the largest Cornish festival in the world. Over several days the towns celebrate their copper-mining heritage with street parades, the traditional furry dance, maypole dancing, heritage tours, a Cornish food fair and, of course, an abundance of pasties. It draws tens of thousands of visitors and is the highlight of the peninsula's cultural calendar.
